The date for Maine's primary election has been moved. The original date was scheduled for June 9th, but today Governor Janet Mills announced the new date will be July 14th. Governor Mills says that will allow the state to prepare and purchase things like barriers in order to continue to keep the public safe during voting. They are encouraging people to vote through absentee ballot as well.
