Man charged with terrorizing after threatening Maine Superior Court Justice

Yesterday morning, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a threat of violence that had been posted on a social media platform.

Deputy Sheriffs located the post which was made by a Fort Fairfield man and was directed toward a Justice of the Maine Superior Court and the judge's family.

The criminal investigation prompted Sheriff's Deputies to arrest 56 year old David Ossie and charge him with terrorizing.

Ossie is being held on $10,000.00 cash bail or $50,000.00 surety. If released on bail Ossie would be restricted to 24/7 house arrest and would be monitored with a GPS tracking device.

Ossie was previously convicted of terrorizing a Maine judge in 2013. That conviction makes the new offense a class C felony, for which he could face up to five years in prison.

Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted in the investigation and arrest by officers from the Fort Fairfield Police Department.
