This afternoon, the State Police received a report of a tractor trailer that went off the road on I-95 in Oakfield.

Trooper’s responded to the scene and discovered that the tractor trailer left the right side of the interstate and flipped over onto it’s passenger side.

The driver, 75 year old Herman Long of Daytona Beach, Florida, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle through the passenger door window.

Long was transported from the scene by ambulance. Police say he sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Trooper’s were assisted at the scene by Houlton Fire and Ambulance, Oakfield Fire, and Maine DOT. Troopers from the State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit were also on scene to assist.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
