Senator Collins questioned U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao about the recent failed landing at the Presque Isle International Airport at a hearing she chaired today.
Earlier this month the NTSB released preliminary report into the incident at the Presque Isle International Airport that indicated the plane missed the runway. The report went on to say the landing was the second approach to runway 1 after having had a missed approach during the first landing attempt. It says Radar track data shows the plane was aligned right of runway 1 during both approaches. Of the 31 passengers and crew, two passengers and one crewmember received minor injuries.
