Maine Senator Susan Collins said its been a heartwarming week in Washington DC, as more than 1000 alzheimer's advocates have come to dicuss the disease on Capitol Hill.
Collins is an alzheimers advocate herself and says she has a number of goals.
Those include increasing funding for research to come up with better prevention, treatments, and a cure.
She also hopes to support caregivers by providing more opportunities for respite care.
Lastly, she says this is an opportunity to put a spotlight on bipartisan legislation
