Susan Collins Contacts White House Regarding Coast Guard Pay

An issue regarding 42,000 Coast guard members being paid for pre-shutdown work has been resolved.
While most federal employees received their schedule paychecks on Friday that was not the case for 42,000 coast guard members who would not be paid for pre-shut down work because they work under a different pay system. Senator Susan Collins contacted the White House regarding the payroll issue and was contacted later in the day saying the issue has been resolved.
