Taste of the County: Orange Chocolate Chip Scones


3 cups of flour
3 tbsp of sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 1/4 sticks of butter
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
1/3 cup orange juice
5 oz of mini chocolate chips
Zest from 1 orange


Mix dry ingredients together. Mix in butter gently.

Add orange zest, juice, milk and egg.

Fold until combined.

Gently knead, roll and cut the dough.

Egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
