The County EMA holds preparedness workshops

People had a chance to learn about the dangers of an ammonia release today. The County EMA holds preparedness workshops for emergency response teams to evaluate their level of preparedness. Over two dozen emergency responders, medical staff or company managers met at Aroostook County EMA.

An environmental scientist with the United States Environment Protection Agency for the New England region says what the ammonia is used for. These types of training are held in different parts of Maine each year.
