Two men who were arrested in the Houlton border incident face a new charge

Bailey and Damien Roy have been charged with committing a hoax related to terrorist activity.

The brothers were charged jointly this week.

Both men are also charged with obstruction in connection with the incident.

On October 26th RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle that had stopped between the Canada and U.S. entry points.

RCMP said the two men inside the vehicle refused to speak with police officers or Canada Border Services Agency officials

About six hours later, when the vehicle proceeded toward the U.S. port of entry, both men were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials and the vehicle was seized.

Today 21 year old Bailey Roy was in court.

The defense lawyer asked Judge Brian McLean for a publication ban.

The ban was granted, therefor nothing from today's proceedings can be published.

Bailey Roy will appear in court again next Tuesday on December 4th.

His bother Damien was returned to Canada this past week.

He will appear on December 18th. Both remain in custody.
