PRESQUE ISLE, Maine - Crafters from The County and beyond were on hand Saturday, taking part in the Craft Fair held at the Sargent Family Community Center in Presque Isle.
From handmade treats like candy and fudge, to one-of-a-kind creations like stained glass decorations and jewelry, to hats, mittens and aprons, there were plenty of choices for those shopping for Christmas or other occasion. For some vendors, transforming discarded items into new creations was the way to go.
"I use recycled things - things that are broken, most people would throw out. My sister, Susan, does the sewing, and I do the other crafts."
Hundreds turned out for Saturday's Craft Fair, with many a sale destined for under a Christmas tree.
