The Madawaska Owl boys are your Class C state champions and the Ashland Hornets took home first prize for the girls. Madawaska finished with five of their six skiers in the top 10 of the freestyle race today. Ashland's Kassandra Nelson finished in third place with her teammate Willow Hall finishing right behind her in fourth. Two small school teams crushing it downstate.

Individually, Miguel Sanclemente rocking the bright green of Fort Kent won the overall 1st place prize after winning both the classic and freestyle races. On the girls side, Madawaska's Isabelle Jandreau continued to dominate the competition sweeping the races and winning the individual state championship as well.

But hey, all the county skiers who went up there, braved the cold and finished the race, they're all winners at the end of the day.
