Pest-killing wasps to come to the aid of Maine forests

The Maine Forest Service is going to deploy wasps to help beat back an invasive pest species that can do damage to trees in the state.

A total of nearly $1.6 million will be distributed to fund 159 “quick action” projects across the country, including one in The County.

In about two months a law will go into effect in Maine that will ban you from using handheld devices while you’re behind the wheel.
