Local Chambers of Commerce are altering plans for holiday festivities, with the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce will hold a Cruise-In With Santa November 28th, and the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce canceling the Light Parade and hosting a lighting contest instead.

That includes students in the UMaine system who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive. The Helping Hands for Warm and Safe Homes Telethon was a huge success! More than 70,000 dollars was raised to help keep people warm and housed over the next year. That's the largest amount of money we've raised in a single telethon to date and it's all thanks to the wonderful people of Aroostook County.
