Caribou Police arrested Justin Adams Thursday morning and charged him with burglary, theft by unauthorized taking and aggravated criminal mischief in connection with a February 18 break-in at Custom Car Wash in the Skyway Plaza area.
Superior Court Justice Robert Murray sentenced 35-year-old Sharon Kennedy, who recently changed her last name from Carrillo, today. She was convicted for the death of Marissa Kennedy in December. Marissa's battered body was found in the family home in Stockton Springs in 2018. Her mother was found guilty of depraved indifference murder in December. Kennedy's estranged husband, Julio Carrillo, pleaded guilty to murder earlier and is serving a 55-year sentence.
rooper Nathan Desrosier was conducting traffic enforcement on State Route 161, Saint John. He attempted to stop a purple Mazda sedan for a vehicle defect. The driver failed to stop for the Trooper and a brief pursuit ensued. Trooper Desrosier recognized the driver as Donny McBreairty, 26 years-of-age, from Fort Kent, and terminated the pursuit for safety.
The Maine State Police investigated an incident that occurred in Masardis. The victim reported she and her partner woke this morning and could not open the door to their residence and thought snow and ice may be keeping it shut. After contacting their neighbor for help, it was found that someone had padlocked their door shut. The neighbor used bolt cutters to remove the lock.
