Updated: 11/14/2019 - For this year's telethon a portion of the money raised will towards helping people get housing. There's very little funding available to help people pay a security deposit and first month's rent.

Updated: 11/12/2019 - This year a new program through Maine State Housing is installing some heat pumps in homes that qualify for the Home Energy Assistance Program. News Source 8's Ashley Blackford spoke with a heating instructor at NMCC about the benefits of adding the popular secondary heat and cooling source to your home.

For the past two years now WAGM has partnered with ACAP and United way to do a day long telethon where hundreds of generous donors have given money for emergency fuel assistance.
