Parents, children, and guardians got messy making slime

Shaving cream, glue, contact solution, and food dye was used to create the slime. Children were able to choose what color they wanted the slime to be and mixed it all together. Meaghan Swanson, the Co-Founder of the Aroostook Autism Support Group, says around twenty kids registered for the event and that they wanted to give kids something to do over the vacation week.

Town of Houlton awarded $95,000 for culvert replacement project

The Morningstar Road culvert has been a cause for concern for almost a decade now. Back in 2010 it was identified as having the most restrictive access because of the targeted impassable culvert. The culvert is at the stream crossing of Morningstar road and Moose Brook, where it enters the mainstream of the Meduxnekeag River. The new funding will go towards taking the culvert out and putting in a bridge.

Big demand for broccoli in The County

According to sixth generation broccoli farmer, Emily Smith, there has been a big demand for their product and as soon as they get it cut, it's going out the door! She adds that the wet spring has helped the crop.
