TD Bank and its customers working to end hunger here in The County
Catherine Boone, Financial Services Representive with the Presque Isle branch, says the bank is sponsoring an open house at Catholic Charities' Threads of Hope Store on State Street in Presque Isle on Friday and Saturday. The Spring Fling event is designed to raise awareness of the nonprofit's efforts to feed those in need right here at home. The bank has pledged to make a donation, on behalf of its customers, to aid Catholic Charities' goal of Feeding the County.
A group of veterans from the Caribou Veterans Home enjoyed a day of fishing Saturday, thanks to several local organizations.
Hosted by Chuck Ainsworth and the Quality Deer Management Association, 11 vets spent the day fishing at a stocked fish pond in Fort Fairfield.
