A two vehicle crash resulted in minor injury

A person sustained minor injuries in two-vehicle accident around 12:30 Monday on the Conant Road in Presque Isle. According to Sgt. Chris Hayes of the Presque Isle Police Department, 38-year-old Nicholas Brewer was driving west in his SUV, towing a trailer. 69-year-old Michael Garvin and two passengers were in an SUV heading east. Brewer's trailer became unhitched, crossed into the opposite lane, and struck Garvin's vehicle. A female passenger of Garvin's complained of minor chest pain and was transported to the hospital. No one else was injured. Gauvin's SUV was towed from the scene.

Plans of renovation to PI City Hall have officials considering 1st floor improvements

City Manager Martin Puckett says the current layout has employees on one side of the floor, while many of the materials they need to perform their daily duties are located across the hall in another office. Remodeling the area would not only improve the work flow for staff, but make the first floor more user-friendly.

Local firefighter talks about chimney maintenance

With it now getting colder, people are starting up the wood or pellet stove to keep their homes warm. But, how often should we clean our chimneys to prevent a chimney fire? Megan Cole has the story.

Officials say this years potato season went well

As potato seasons go, this year's went well, according to officials in the industry. Don Flannery, Executive Director of the Maine Potato Board, says County farmers experienced minimal problems in the fields.

Those in need received free smoke alarms over the weekend

This past week was National Fire Prevention Week. On Saturday, Aroostook County American Red Cross and The Presque Isle Fire Department teamed up to bring free smoke detectors to local communities. Both the Deputy Fire Chief and Community Manager of the Red Cross says it feels great to help out.
