KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) - A Tennessee woman is clocking out for the last time after working at the same company for 73 years.

Sue Bunch, of Lenoir City, started at what is now called Family Brands back in 1953.

Over her seven decades of service, she has done just about every job there is at the meat processing plant.

Throughout her career, Bunch has spent time working in the sausage kitchen, food packing, handling inventory and, most recently, cleaning.

In 2023, Bunch was honored for her decades of service at Family Brands.

Her coworkers threw her a retirement party Thursday to celebrate her historic milestone.

Those who worked alongside her said if there was a job to be done, Bunch was the one who would do it.

“I’ve enjoyed it, really,” Bunch said. “Every job I’ve had, I’ve really enjoyed it.”

Bunch said she will miss her coworkers and, yes, even the job.
